A Royal Birthday Celebration
The Round Tower marks old King Christian IV’s birthday with fun and festive activities for kids and their adults. Maybe you’ll spot the king himself and his two ladies of the court?
It was King Christian IV who had the Round Tower built. He provided Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark with buildings so strange and special that people still talk about them to this day! The king was born on April 12th in 1577, and the day after, we celebrate his birthday with a special family event.
Meet the King
Of course we have invited the king himself. See if you can spot the king or his ladies-in-waiting as they gallivant around his old tower between 13 and 16.
Creative Workshop: Build Like the King
Do you love building as much as Christian IV did? Create fantastical towers in our creative drop-in building workshop. The Round Tower provides all materials, so you can get crafty like the king.
The workshop is open between 13 and 16 and included in admission. Please Note that seating may be limited in case of many guests.
